Noam Kroll

Filmmaker Noam Kroll is always great! We were fortunate to partner with him this year on several initiatives.

Earlier this year, Noam wrote a brilliant article on creating micro-shorts as a doodle, of sorts, for filmmakers. Below are the videos of his session from the Shorts Night, the original article, and the short film described in the article “Echoes on the Shore.”

We held a challenge for filmmakers in concert with his filmmaker networking group, The Backlot. They were given two weeks and a list of criteria to include in creating, shooting, and editing a short film.

From those submissions, we selected Julian Hood’s “Tommy Knockers pt1” and Bobe Wu’s “Where’d the Swiffer go?” to appear in this year’s Short’s Night.

Revisit Noam’s intro and the short “Tommy Knockers.”

Time constraints prevented us from playing Noam’s intro to “Where’d the Swiffer Go?’ We present that here, along with Bobe Wu’s film.
